Celebrate Earth Week by touring the beautiful and diverse Terrell Creek watershed!

Terrell Creek not only supports local coho and chum salmon populations but also promotes a healthy habitat for wildlife throughout the watershed, including 170 bird species, steelhead, coastal and residential trout, and a diverse selection of Birch Bay shellfish. Since 2002, NSEA has partnered with BP Cherry Point and various community groups, such as the Chums of Terrell Creek, to restore stream habitat by removing invasive vegetation, planting native trees and shrubs, and improving instream channel habitat.

Join NSEA’s instream project manager, Eli DeWitt, on Friday, April 25 from 12-2 PM for a guided tour of our instream channel restoration projects along Terrell Creek, including large woody debris installations, culvert replacement, and a special look at our remote site incubator. We will meet at 12 PM at a parking site near Birch Bay, then hop on our tour bus. A carpool option will be available from NSEA’s campus.

Get an up-close look at this beautiful watershed! This is free event. RSVP today to save your seat on the bus.

Please reach out to Megan at MAdams@n-sea.org if you have any questions.
