Let’s continue this journey—building a future where wild salmon thrive, ecosystems are restored, and our community remains strong.

With recent disruptions in federal funding, NSEA’s summer instream projects have, for now, been put on hold. The pause on already signed contracts will likely produce considerable delays for this critical work, affecting NSEA and numerous other small local businesses such as engineers, plant nurseries, and contractors. We are staying tuned in to any changes with our contacts, remaining hopeful and making plans for pivoting our work, if necessary.

While the future of this work is uncertain, we rely on hope and the strength of our community to get us through. Now, more than ever, is the time to support the values you want to see in your local community.

When supporters, like you, transform hope into action this leads to forward momentum, turning optimism into impact. How do we move beyond hope to grow our impact? The answer lies in setting clear goals, developing strategic plans, securing resources, and staying steadfast in our commitment. To help drive our community effort, our board members have come together with a challenge: they will contribute $20,000 if our community can match it.

At NSEA, we know hope is not passive—it’s a commitment to persistence. This is why our five- year strategic plans, both in 2020 and again in 2025, we chose hope as a core value. We remain unwavering in our mission to restore salmon habitat, empower community members as environmental stewards, and provide environmental education for all ages. This work belongs to all of us. When we stand together, we turn hope into meaningful action and uncertainty into progress.

For over 30 years, the partnership between our community and wild salmon has fueled a cycle of renewal. NSEA needs your support. If you are able, we ask for your help in two critical ways:

  • Make a financial contribution – Your donation sustains and grows our collective impact, ensuring that salmon habitat is restored, water quality is improved, and future generations inherit healthy, sustainable watersheds.
  • Take action – Volunteer with us, spread the word, and advocate for the protection of these essential programs. Be the change you want to see.

Together, we can turn uncertainty into resilience and hope into lasting impact.
